The basics
Chicken Road was released by InOut Games in 2024 and quickly became one of the most searched casino games in India and Latin America. You place a bet, pick a difficulty and move the chicken forward one lane at a time. Every lane you cross raises the multiplier.
You can cash out after any step. If the chicken gets hit, the bet is lost. The published RTP is 98% on every difficulty, so over the long run the house keeps about 2% of everything bet.
Four difficulty levels
- Easy: 24 steps; the first step fails 1 time in 25.
- Medium: 22 steps; the first step fails 3 times in 25.
- Hard: 20 steps; the first step fails 5 times in 25.
- Hardcore: 15 steps; the first step fails 10 times in 25, and the theoretical top multiplier is about 3.2 million x.
- Casinos cap the maximum cash win, so the very top multipliers are mostly theoretical.
Why every step is riskier than the last
Many guides say Easy has a 1-in-25 risk on every step. That is only true for the first one. The game's multipliers match exactly a board of 25 spots with a fixed number of traps — the same maths as Mines. Each safe step uses up a safe spot, so the traps make up a bigger share of what is left.
On Easy, step 1 fails 1 time in 25, but the last step fails 1 time in 2. That is why multipliers climb so steeply near the end of the road — and why chasing the final lane almost always ends with the chicken getting hit.
Odds of reaching each step
Chicken Road's published multipliers match one simple model exactly: each difficulty hides a fixed number of traps among 25 spots — 1 on Easy, 3 on Medium, 5 on Hard and 10 on Hardcore. Here is your chance of getting to each step without being hit:
| Step | Easy | Medium | Hard | Hardcore |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 96% | 88% | 80% | 60% |
| 2 | 92% | 77% | 63.3% | 35% |
| 3 | 88% | 67% | 49.6% | 19.8% |
| 5 | 80% | 49.6% | 29.2% | 5.65% |
| 8 | 68% | 29.6% | 11.6% | 0.59% |
| 10 | 60% | 19.8% | 5.65% | 0.092% |
| 12 | 52% | 12.4% | 2.42% | 0.0087% |
| 15 | 40% | 5.22% | 0.47% | 0.000031% |
| 20 | 20% | 0.43% | 0.0019% | — |
| 22 | 12% | 0.043% | — | — |
| 24 | 4% | — | — | — |
| Final step | 24.5x | 2,254x | 52,067x | 3,203,385x |
Every step is riskier than the one before: on Easy the first step fails 1 time in 25, the last one 1 time in 2. Multipliers are set at about 98% divided by the chance of getting there, so no stopping point beats the house edge.
